MOTION by R. Bracciale, seond by W. Gilpin that there needs to be a workout room in
Things to consider and provide to architect:
a)
b)
°)
d)
Is a meeting room necessary. Room is currently designed for 35 tables and chairs. D.
Stein asked if it should be reconsidered to 15. B. Tuneski stated the town feels there are
enough meeting rooms throughout the town. Consider merging the day room and
meeting room or eliminating the meeting room and potentially looking at what space is
Day Room — locate exercise equipment in this room or have an exercise equipment
W. Gilpin — Referenced NFPA 1583 Standard 2000 edition. B. Tuneski clarified the standard
referred to a “workout program” and did not refer to a workout room on site.
VOT!
FOR: R. Bracciale, J. Bracciale, W. Gilpin, P. Rafuse
a) Acting Fire Services Director S. Dubicki— Confirm with the town on whether or not
meeting space is required.
d) Slide the space on the left toward the right to allow more room between buildings in
) S. Smith to look at costs associated with keeping the firehouse operational.
f) Acting Fire Services Director S. Dubicki to provide recommendation or statement
whether or not town fire services can provide reasonable support of the Oswegatchie fire
district if the current station were to be demolished at the beginning of construction or
what the risk profile would be.
T. Olynciw asked when the Phase I Study of the existing building should be done. S. Smith
offered this is typically done during the design phase. The architect suggested the committee
could perform this opposed to the architect needing to outsource this. D. Stein also clarified it is
not a Phase I Study rather it is to perform Hazardous Material Testing.
