The Board of Assessment Appeals met on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. The meeting was called to order
at 5:00pm.
All decisions were voted on by Board members Marilyn Lusher and Gregg Swanson. The following
decisions were made:
Sullivan, William & Diana — 29 Strand Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the land value, which reduced the assessment to
$154,000
Adamson, Roy — 21 Linda Avenue
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to change the attic to unfinished, which reduced the
assessment to $272,790
Rumph, Gary S, ~ 2 Windward Way
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce value based on 20% functional obsolescence
Hickey, Charles & Claudette — 17 Division Street
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the land value, which reduced the assessment to
$171,500
Anderson, Robert & Bank of America - 133R Cross Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the land value, which reduced the assessment to
$62,910

- Calkins, Chris & Michelle - 9 Lanyard Lane
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to prorate the building value from the date of the fire, based
‘on CGS 12-64a(b).
Gregory, Scott & Barrus, Anabel — 6 Oil Mill Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to adjust the percent complete, reducing the assessment to
$210,680
Caulfield, Matthew & Sexton, Courtney 23 Maple Court
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the land value, which reduced the assessment to
$194,390
Frye, Oaty - 1 Kenyon Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the condition, which reduced the assessment to
$93,820
Nicholson, Stephanie — 11 Lathrop Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the land and grade, which reduced the
assessment to $167,060
Old Business
Some hearings from April 14 and April 15 had been tabled pending further information. All decisions
were voted on by Board members Marilyn Lusher and Gregg Swanson. The following decisions were

Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant's declaration, plus 25% late filing
penalty.

Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant's declaration, plus 25% late filing
penalty.
Kwasniewski, Helen - 227 Bloomingdale Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to deny the petition
Kwasniewski, Matthew — 223 Bloomingdale Road
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to reduce the assessment to $130,530
Gilger, Jeffrey — The Critter Gitter
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant's declaration, plus 25% late filing
penalty.

Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant's declaration, plus 25% late filing
penalty.
The minutes for the April 15, 2020 meeting were accepted as read.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30pm
