The Board of Assessment Appeals met on Monday, March 1, 2021. The meeting was called to order
at 4:10pm.
All decisions were voted on by Board members Marilyn Lusher and Gregg Swanson. The following
decisions were made:
Nguyen, Tolan & Peterson, Dennis – Tolan Salon
Decision: The Board tabled the decision until further documentation is provided by appellant.
Grossman, David & Goldberger, Alan – Horizon Healthcare Staffing
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to remove the personal property account.
Patel, Vipul – Oakdell Motel
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to deny the petition. The appellant did not attend the
meeting.
Kumpitsch, Glenn – Gk Painting & Power Washing
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to deny the petition. The appellant did not attend the
meeting.
Nelson, Russell – FIP Construction, Inc.
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to remove the personal property account, contingent on the
appellant providing a list of sub-contractors whose equipment was on site.
O’Brien, Thomas – Airspiat LLC
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to deny the petition. The appellant did not attend the
meeting.
Winakor, Michael – Winakor’s Healing Practice
Decision: The Board tabled the decision until further documentation is provided by appellant.
Coss, Edward – Edward W Coss, MD
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant’s declaration, plus the 25% penalty.
Chasse, Scott – Boogie Street LLC
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to remove the account. Based on the documentation
provided in the appeal application, the Board determined Boogie Street LLC is only the real estate
owner and does not have any business personal property in Waterford.
Chasse, Scott – All Points Technology
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to deny the petition. The appellant did not attend the
meeting.
Russell, Samara – Blackhorn Farm
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to remove the personal property account.
McCormick, Kim – Massage by Kim McCormick
Decision: The Board voted unanimously to accept the appellant’s declaration, plus the 25% penalty.
Old Business
Gregg Swanson motioned to approve the transfer of $65 from 10105-52050 (Dues, Conferences &
Education) to 10105-52010 (Advertising) for the BAA advertisement. Marilyn Lusher seconded the
motion. Unanimous to approve.
The minutes for the January 19, 2021 meeting were accepted as read.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:30pm
