THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN BUDGET MEETING
MINUTES
Monday, February 10, 2025

PROCEDURE: The Board of Selectmen will hear budget requests in accordance
with the below agenda for the Budget meeting, which begins at 4:00pm:
The Board of Selectmen to consider and act on the following proposed budgets and
at the appropriate time forward to the Board of Finance for its consideration of and
action on the FY26 Budgets:
A. Call to Order & Roll Call: 4:04 pm
In Attendance: Rob Brule, Rich Muckle, Greg Attanasio (late)
Absent: N/A
B. Pledge of Allegiance
C. Public Comment: NONE
D. Consider and act on the following budget requests:
Standing Motion: was made by Selectman, Rich Muckle and seconded by Selectman,
Greg Attanasio to tentatively approve the budget requests for FY26.
1. Public Health & Nursing (VNA) - To consider and act on the Public
Health & Nursing (VNA) tentative FY26 budget request in the amount:
of $21,600.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $21,600. VOTE 3-0
2. Recreation & Parks - To consider and act on the Recreation & Parks
tentative FY26 budget request in the amount of $1,535,328.
MOTION by Attanasio, to increase line # 51610 by $27,000 for a full-time
Maintainer position. No Second, MOTION FAILED.
MOTION by Attanasio, seconded by Muckle for discussion only, to increase

line # 51610 by $54,000 to add an additional Maintainer position. VOTE 1-2
MOTION FAILED

Voting Against: Brule, Muckle
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $1,535,328. VOTE 2-1

3. Public Works - To consider and act on the Public Works tentative
FY26 budget request in the amount of $5,154,902.
MOTION by Attanasio, seconded by Muckle, to increase line # 51520 by
$83,200 to add additional Maintenance. VOTE 1-2 MOTION FAILED

Voting Against: Brule, Muckle
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $5,154,902. VOTE 3-0
4. Fire Services - To consider and act on the Fire Services tentative FY26
budget request in the amount of $3,958,130.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $3,958,130. VOTE 3-0
5. Building Maintenance - To consider and act on the Building
Maintenance tentative FY26 budget request in the amount of
$1,020,000.
MOTION by Attanasio, to increase by $70,000 for a Facility Coordinator.
No Second, MOTION FAILED.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $1,020,000. VOTE 2-1

6. Building Department - To consider and act on the Building
Department tentative FY26 budget request in the amount of $321,515.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $321,515. VOTE 3-0
7. Finance Department - To consider and act on the Building
Department tentative FY26 to budget request in the amount of

$784,326.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend “on the Building
Department” to “on the Finance Department”. VOTE 3-0
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $784,326. VOTE 3-0
