1. CALL TO ORDER AND APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES a)
R. Muckle called the meeting to order at 6:34 p.m. =
2s APPROVAL OF THE March 24, 2022 MEETING MINUTES
Motion: Motion made by T. Maidelis, second by W. Thomas to approve the March 24, 2022
meeting minutes.
Vote: 7-0-0
3. APPLICATION REVIEW
#C-22-3 30 Douglas Lane — Demo and Rebuild Home, Albert Bove, Owner & Applicant, Joe
Wren, (Indigo Land Design, LLC) Agent
No representative was present for this meeting. Staff reviewed the draft permit with the
commission.
Motion: Motion made by T. Maidelis, second by J. Patterson to approve the draft permit.
Vote: 7-0-0
4, NEW APPLICATIONS
#C-22-4 934 & 940 Hartford Tpke. — Self storage facility
Staff informed the commission that this application was received within the statutory time frame for
receipt at this scheduled meeting but after the agenda was posted. The Commission accepted the
application as complete.
Bob Russo, of CLA Engineers, gave a brief overview of the proposed facility.
5. CONSERVATION OUTREACH
The commission continued discussion on potential outreach and education topics to be included in
the initial educational flyers and on the Town website. The selected topics focus on storm water
and where it goes in the watershed, pollinator gardens and the importance of pollinators and native
plants, and who/what lives in a wetland. The commission discussed ways to promote the program,
including farmers market, Earth Day, Waterford Land Trust, CT Wildlife magazine links and a
possible website/facebook page which may include a hashtag or tab name. Action items to work on
for the next meeting include, who would be partners in the outreach, types of information materials,
ways to launch the outreach program and selecting a program name, tab name or hashtag. J.
Patterson will develop some draft materials for review.

6. CORRESPONDENCE
°CT DEEP Municipal Wetlands Agency Comprehensive Training Program.
The program is available online and members were encouraged to complete the program. Staff
reviewed sections of the Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Regulations and the requirements in
regards to application materials, public hearings and factors for consideration.
eGardiners Wood Road General Drainage System Maintenance and Emergency Repair Plan
Staff reviewed a report from DPW regarding emergency repairs conducted on Gardiners Woods
Road under the General Permit for Emergency Repairs and Maintenance. Staff is coordinating with
DPW in restoring temporary wetland disturbance.
7. PAYMENT OF BILLS —- The Day $88.85
Motion: Motion made by W. Thomas, second by G. Renegar to approve payment of the bill.
