The total award that we are approving is the $7,708,500 tonight this is the base bid (the allowances have been included in this number), the add alternate of the $42,000, the technology bid of $121,500 ($84,000 was already removed as the phone system/network/communications is being awarded to Total Communications). | am also included my memo as well that will explain the award. Here is the bid summary from Steve (Downes). As well as the OpenGov report. Thank you, Shannon Withey — From: Shea Davy Sent: Monday, March 9, 2026 11:41 AM To: Robert Brule Cc: Shannon Withey Subject: email draft Hi Rob, Before | reply back to your original email. Please take a look at the below response to make sure this is what you are asking for: Hi Rob, Thank you for reaching out. The total amount of approvals for tonight is $7,758,807. The reduction of $154,344 reflects the two allowances and unit prices that were already included in the base bid amount of $7,545,000. Due to the urgency and importance of this project, preparations for the BOS Special Meeting on Monday progressed quickly on Friday. However, in accordance with standard procedure, the total amount was subsequently reviewed and verified with our contracted Project Manager. During this review, it was confirmed that the allowances and unit pricing were already incorporated within the $7,545,000 base bid amount. As a result, these allowances and unit prices were inadvertently counted twice in the original award amount of $7,862,844. Please let me know if you need any additional information. After careful review of the submitted proposals, it was determined that A. Secondino & Son, Inc. proposal was the lowest qualified bidder that is able to meet the needs of the Town and therefore I recommend they be awarded the contract as stated in this solicitation in the amount of $7,708,500. This amount includes the lump sum base bid $7,545,000, which includes all allowances, add Alternate for $42,000, and base bid #2 for technology $121,500 (Cameras/Door Card access system). J also recommend that Total Communications, Inc. be awarded the Phone System/Network/Communications portion of the technology scope portion of the bid for $50,007. Funds wiil be available in line acct# 20523-57792 Oswegatchie Building Renovation. Shen yy wy) Shea Davy Purchasing Agent, Town of Waterford
