Re: Approval of Trail Construction in Conservation Easement Area
Kathryn Court Open Space
Mr. Frydryk:
The Waterford Conservation Commission approved the construction and maintenance of a 4 foot wide
trail in the Kathryn Court Conservation Easement Area at their meeting conducted on June 8, 2023.
The trail location is indicated on the attached mapping. The trail includes 2 stream/wetland crossings that
are stabilized with stepping stones to minimize disturbance of the stream channel.
The Conservation Commission found that the trail is consistent with the language and intent of the
Conservation Easement Agreement filed over the Kathryn Court Open Space land.
If there are plans to expand the trail system in the future, please contact this office to discuss requirements
for requesting authorization from the Waterford Conservation Commission.
