2021 Monitoring Report 
Restoration of Riparian Habitat and Channel Stabilization

The restoration of the stream channel was monitor on September 8, 2021. The survival of the Wool 
Grass, Tussock Sedge, Wild Blue Lupines, Swamp Milkweed, Butterfly Milkweed, and Iris 
Versicolor was poor. Eleven Wool Grass and Tussock Sedge plants were found. The plant plugs 
were shaded out by native vegetation which formed a dense stand along the stream channel. 
 
The native plant species which colonized the bank of the stream is Smartweed, Arrow-leaf 
Tearthumb, Rice Cut Grass, Devil’s Beggartick, and Jewelweed. 
 
The rip-rap was placed in the stream channel below the pipe outfall on the bed of the stream. 
 
Approximately thirteen Phragmites plants occur in the wetland and several small Multiflora Rose 
plants occur on the side slope. These are exotic invasive plants. 
 
The side slope and edge of the stream channel is stabilized with a dense stand of native vegetation. 
 
There is no exposed soil or erosion. No remedial measures are needed.
