Restorative Plan For

Please find the plans to stabilize the stream channel and restorative plan on the property of 52
Gurley Rd. The property had been involved in a fire in July of 2020. The property then
remained vacant since that time frame and was not maintained. The yard had not been mowed,
all the trees were intertwined with vines. Upon purchase of the site, work was begun to clean
up the surrounding land. The work was completed in the summer of 2023. The photos
attached below show there were trees, brush, and vines covering the stream. When removing
the fallen trees from the stream there was garbage debris embedded in the soil and on the sides
of the stream from road runoff. A broken down cement retaining wall was also found and
cleared of debris. The stream was cleaned and grass was planted to the edge of the stream.


Restorative Plan
There is existing brush and trees running along the stream that were cleaned of vines and fallen
debris. Plantings of red twig dogwood would be placed along the curve of the stream near the
retaining wall to stabilize the channel. More red twig dogwood would be placed along another
45 foot section from the concrete retaining wall towards the house if required. The grass
planted in the summer is now grown in and established along the stream channel.
