Determination of Permitted Use, Application # C 25-10
Mr. Lemery,
At their meeting conducted on September 11, 2025, the Waterford Conservation Commission determined
that the referenced timber harvest activity and use of temporary timber mats and corduroy crossings of
intermittent watercourses and wetlands meets the criteria for a permitted use under Section 4.1.a of the
Waterford Inland Wetlands and Watercourses regulations.
The following best management practices are recommended to protect inland wetlands and watercourses
on the site from direct and secondary impacts associated with the proposed harvest:
1. Install corduroy approaches at the temporary stream crossings to minimize channel disturbance
and trail erosion;
2. Upon completion of the harvest, remove the material from the temporary stream crossings and
approaches and smooth any ruts in disturbed soils to pre-existing grades.
Please notify this office at the completion of the harvest activity to schedule a site inspection to review
