Zoning Board of Appeals April 6, 2022 p. 1 of 2 MINUTES Zoning Board of Appeals April 6, 2022 Remote Access 6:30 PM Members Present: Catherine Gonyo, Ann Darling, Michelle Kripps, Warren Mackenzie, John Morgan Alternates Present: William Herzfeld Alternates Absent: Greg Gallup, Jason Maryeski Staff Present: Jill Pisechko, Zoning Official; Dawn Choisy, Recording Secretary Also Present: Attorney Robert Avena 1. CALL TO ORDER AND APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES Chairwoman Gonyo called the meeting to order at 6:35. 2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES MOTION: Motion made by A. Darling, seconded by J. Morgan, to approve the minutes of the March 2, 2022 meeting amended to correct the Chairwoman’s name from Newlin to Gonyo. VOTE: 5-0 3. APPLICATION REVIEWS Application #ZBA-22-4 - Appeal of Matthew Scott McNeil, owner and applicant, 42 Myrock Avenue, R-20 zone. Variances are requested from zoning regulations sections 4.4.1 — Front yard setback variance of 13 feet to allow a front yard setback of 37 feet and 4.4.3 — Rear yard setback variance of 11 feet to allow a rear yard setback of 39 feet. Variances are requested to construct an addition to the existing house as shown on the plan entitled: “Zoning Location Survey Property of Matthew Scott McNeil, for property located at 42 Myrock Avenue, Waterford, Connecticut” dated December 28, 2021. MOTION: Motion made by A. Darling, seconded by J. Morgan to approve #ZBA-22-4. VOTE: 5-0 4. OLD BUSINESS Town Attorney Avena updated the Board on the upcoming appeal hearing. Due to conflicts, he is suggesting that a special meeting be scheduled for May 12, 2022 to open the appeal hearing. MOTION: Motion made by J. Morgan, seconded by M. Kripps, to schedule a special Zoning Lied _ Board of Appeals meeting for May 12, 2022. S VOTE: 5-0 = “oO =O 5. NEW BUSINESS No new business was discussed. 61: Wd L- 6.
