Board Member Negri called the February 20, 2020 Personnel Review Board Meeting to order at 6:30pm.
1. Review and approyal of the Meeting Minutes of January 16, 2020
MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a Motion to approve the January 16, 2020 Meeting Minutes of the Personnel
Review Board. Seconded by Mr. Negri (2-0); (E. Murphy abstained)
2, Discriminatory Harassment and Violence Prevention Policy
Discussion regarding policy updated to include all types of harassment and violence prevention; the Town will
have the same reporting process; discussed new requirements for a 2 hour training in sexual harassment.
MOTION: Mr. Murphy made a Motion to approve the Discriminatory Harassment and Violence
Prevention Policy. Seconded by Mr. Maidelis. (3-0) Unanimous.
3. Additional Position Utility Commission — Sewer Technician
Director Soto explained the need for the position due to the aging infrastructure; he referenced a study
conducted that indicated the need for more positions; the position has been budgeted for and there will be no
increase in sewer rates. The position was approved by the First Selectman.
MOTION: Mr. Murphy made a Motion to approve the Sewer Technician II additional position in the
Utility Commission. Seconded by Mr. Maidelis. (3-0) Unanimous,
MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a motion to adjourn the Personnel Review Board Regular Meeting of
February 20, 2020 at 7:10pm. Seconded by Mr. Murphy (3-0) Unanimous.
