Review and approval of the Special Meeting Minutes of February 15, 2024 MOTION: Ms. Mullen-Kohl made a Motion to approve the February 15, 2024 Special Meeting Minutes of the Personnel Review Board with revisions. Seconded by Mr. Chuchev. (4-0) Unanimous. 2. Public Comment None. 3. Town of Waterford Vehicle Use Policy Ms. Walters mentioned an additional revision needed to be made to the last paragraph on Page 3 that was not a part of the revisions that were sent prior to the meeting. Instead of “In the case of these departments, the appropriate committee...” the sentence should read “The First Selectman, in conjunction with the Chief of Police and the Director of Fire Services, will regulate the use of emergency services vehicles...” Mr. Wells brought up the no weapons clause of the policy and suggested using wording from the Town’s Discriminatory Harassment and Violence Prevention Policy for the sake of continuity. Discussion on the exact wording ensued about how to define a weapon in the policy. Ms. finition broad and including some language that indicated that using Browder suggested keeping the de de it a weapon. Mr. Chuchev suggested that using generally an object in a threatening manner ma recognized weapons would be all encompassing. The Board, with assistance from Ms. Kelly, came to the conclusion that the sentence should read: “Not have weapons, including but not limited to firearms, in the vehicle”. Previous revisions were reviewed. Mr. Wells suggested inserting the word “controlled” in reference to illegal substances in the section about impaired driving. MOTION: Mr. Chuchev made a Motion to approve the Town of Waterford Vehicle Use Policy with revisions outlined. Seconded by Ms. Mullen-Kohl. (4-0) Unanimous. MOTION: Mr. Chuchev made a Motion to adjourn the Personnel Review Board Meeting of March 21, 2024 at 6:30pm. Seconded by Ms. Mullen-Kohl. (4-0) Unanimous.
