Re: Enforcement of Town Ordinances
The Waterford Police Department routinely responds to calls for service involving the violation of town ordinances.
The mast common responses are related to parking violations under Title 10, however our officers also respond to
noise complaints under Title 9, alcohol on town property complaints under Title 12 and commercial vehicles in
residential neighborhoods complaints under Title 10.
The majority of our responses involve mitigation between parties, to which compliance with the ordinances are
obtained, and no enforcement is issued. With the exception of parking violations, very few enforcement penalties
are issued,
Our Records Department conducted a search of town ordinance enforcement for the past five years, based on your
request for information. In that period,.we did not find any enforcement penalties issued by our department for
violations of town ordinances other than parking violations.
