HISTORIC PROPERTIES COMMISSION Minutes July 13, 2021 The July 13, 2021 Regular Meeting of the Historic Properties Commission was called to order at 7:03 p.m. by Chairman, John O’Neill. = Present: Vivian Brooks, Patrick Crotty, John O’Neill, Debra Walters ee Absent: Eileen Olynciw = nN Appointment of Alternates: Robert Nye for E. Olynciw = Minutes: Motion by V. Brooks, seconded by P. Crotty, to accept the Minutes of the Margis9, Se n 2021 Regular Meeting. Voting in favor: Unanimous Nevins Cottage: Nothing new reported Eugene O’Neill Theater Center: J. O’Neill plans to meet with the Executive Director, Tiffani Gavin, when she is available. R. Nye, Town Historian, reported meeting with representatives from Recreation and Parks, Building Maintenance, and the theater’s maintenance staff to review the current state of buildings, particularly the Hammond Mansion, on the theater property. Cemeteries: P. Crotty reported that he has been mowing several cemeteries this season. Also, Jill Adams, (Waterford Library), spoke with him about working to get Waterford’s cemeteries added to the Hale Collection. Oil Mill District: R. Nye reported that he has been editing and adding material to the draft submitted to have the district placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Other: R. Nye reported: ~A. Piersall expects to have a draft of the Village District regulations available by November ~A contract has been awarded to design a boardwalk around the town duck pond Adjournment: Motion by P.
