The January 11,2022 Regular Meeting of the Historic Properties was called to order at 7:00 by Chairman,
John O’Neill.
Present: Patrick Crotty, John O’Neill and Robert Nye.
Appointment of Alternates: Robert Nye for Debra Walters
Minutes: Motion by R. Nye, seconded by P. Crotty to accept the Minutes of the November 9,2021
Regular Meeting.
Voting in favor: Unanimous
Ongoing maintenance of Waterford Historic Properties: A discussion of the lack of maintenance to the
historic properties owned by the Town of Waterford led to a call for the drafting of a letter to request a
meeting to express the Commission’s concerns. Motion by R. Nye, seconded by P. Crotty
Voting in favor: Unanimous
Waterford Historic Society Happenings: Not discussed.
151 Oswegatchie Rd. Demolition: B. Nye reported a lack of enforcement of the Delay of Demolition
ordinance.
Nevins Cottage and the O’Neill center: Included in discussion of ongoing maintenance.
Cemeteries: P. Crotty recommended seeking funding for a fence around the Gorton Cemetery in 2023
when a grant may be available.
Oil Mill District: R. Nye reported the Oil Mill District application will be reviewed in March by SHPO.
Adjournment: Motion by R. Nye, seconded by P. Crotty, to adjourn at 8:10 p.m.
