The Waterford Recreation and Parks Commission held their regular monthly
meeting on October 27, 2020 via zoom. Chairperson Santos chaired the
meeting. Meeting was scheduled for 4:00pm; Chairperson Santos called the
meeting to order at 4:10pm.

MEMBERS IN ATTENDNACE: Cs. Santos, Whelan, Scheiber, Murphy, Gardiner

ABSENT MEMBERS: Cs. Hall, Kanabis and Erricson

STAFF: Director Flaherty, Assistant Director McNamara and Program
Coordinator Sullivan

MOTION #1: Made by C. Whelan, seconded by C. Scheiber to approve the
minutes of the August 25, 2020 meeting.  So voted 5-0

CORRESPONDENCE:  Was reviewed and placed on file

STAFF REPORTS: Reports were accepted as received and placed on file.

Director Flaherty gave updates on beach project as well as tennis courts.

Assistant Director McNamara presented projects that have been completed and
that a new maintainer was hired.

Program Coordinator Sullivan, reported that the virtual classes were not a
go and that there would be different activities for the public and
fireworks are scheduled for New Year’s Eve.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: were discussed and Chairperson Santos and C. Gardiner
will be coming into the office to proceed with Policies and Procedures.

REPRESENTATIVE REPORTS:  C Whelan stated no meeting with Historical
Society; C. Scheiber reported that the Mural Committee has not met.
Discussion about parks and that the public was using the different parks
and trails and that the dog park is very busy.

OLD BUSINESS:  Nothing waiting for action

NEW BUSINESS: Director Flaherty reported that reports were being worked on
for Annual Report, CIP’s and that work had begun on the budget.

MOTION #2: Made by C. Scheiber, seconded by C. Whelan to adjourn.  So voted
5-0 Adjourned at 4:37pm.
