Krum Chuchev = 3 Talivaldis Maidelis Ss i) Absent: Cathy Patterson ied David Peabody Also Present: Christine Walters, Human Resources Director, Marc Balestracci, Interim Chief of Police, Brian Flaherty, Director of Recreation & Parks. Chairman Wells called the December 16, 2021 Personnel Review Board Meeting to order at 6:31pm. Ms. Walters welcomed Krum Chuchev, new member to the Board. i, Review and approval of the Special Meeting Minutes of November 4, 2021 MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a Motion to approve the November 4, 2021 Special Meeting Minutes of the Personnel Review Board. Seconded by Mr. Wells. (2-0-1) (Mr. Chuchev abstained). 2. Job Description: Program Coordinator (Recreation and Parks) Christine Walters, Director of Human Resources, spoke on behalf of this job description; the position became vacant after 38 years and the job description was reviewed by the Administration, Recreation & Parks Commission and the GGA Union; minor changes were made and the position remains in the same wage classification; clerical amendment recommended by Board members. MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a Motion to approve the Program Coordinator Job Description with the clerical amendment discussed. Seconded by Mr. Chuchev. (3-0) Unanimous. 3 Police Department: Reclassification — Community Service Officers Marc Balestracci, Interim Chief of Police, spoke on behalf of this request for reclassification from Grade 6 to Grade 8 on the PT Seasonal/Occasional Wage Schedule; Mr. Balestracci spoke to the significant responsibilities of these officers in regards to prisoner care and public relations; the wage currently in place makes it very difficult to recruit and maintain community services officers; continued discussion took place on full-time vs part-time Community Service Officers and the extensive/specialized in-house training required for these officers to protect themselves as well as the prisoners. MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a Motion to approve the Reclassification for Community Service Officers from Grade 6 to Grade 8 on the PT Seasonal/Occasional Wage Schedule. Seconded by Mr. Chuchev. (3-0) Unanimous. MOTION: Mr. Maidelis made a Motion to adjourn the Personnel Review Board Meeting of December 16, 2021 at 6:57pm. Seconded by Mr. Chuchev. (3-0) Unanimous.
