MINUTES
HARBOR MANAGEMENT COMMISSION REGULAR MEETING-
Wednesday, October 4, 2023
Present: Commissioners John Hughes (chair) Robert DeRosa, Robert
Dutton, and Joseph Buths Jr
Absent: Harbor Master David Crocker, Fred Wise, John Jamroga,
and James Hamsher
Greg Crocker (alternate), and Deputy Harbor Master Richard Miller.
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm and a quorum
established.
The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Approval of the minutes
Minutes from the August 2nd, 2023 regular meeting, all in favor,
motion passed.
Harbor Masters Report – none.
Correspondence- dicussed.
Applications- none.
Old Business-
Commissioners discussed the delinquent moorings that have been

tagged for removal, and made plans to go out once more before
pulling.
Niantic Bay Survey by Army Corp of Engineers looking dredging the
river to fix shoaling that has naturally occurred overtime.
New Business-
Commissioners discussed changing that application rates to match
other towns in the area, ($75 renewal, $100 new) motion is
unanimously approved, new rates will be in place for next season.
H. S Plaut Environmental was unanimously rejected and will not be
added to the approved contractors list.

Adjourn
There being no further business to come before the Commission,
and upon motion by Mr. Dutton, seconded Mr. DeRosa, the meeting
was adjourned at 5:42p.m.
