Waterford Harbor Management Commission Meeting Minutes Wednesday, November 1, 2023 Waterford Police Department, 5:00 pm Members Present: John Hughes, John Jamroga, Joseph Buth, Jim Hamsher, Robert DeRosa, Fred Wise Members Absent: Robert Dutton, Eva Bunnell, Gregory Crocker, David Crocker (Harbor Master) The meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM and a quorum established. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. Review and approval of the previous minutes: October 4, 2023 Regular Meeting minutes approved on a motion by Joseph Buth, seconded by Robert DeRosa, vote 6-0. Harbor Master’s Report David Crocker was not present at meeting, but the Commissioner gave a report out on the mooring permit inspections that completed for the year during the month of October. Correspondence Mago Beach Pulley Poles inspected and check cashed. Old Business Mooring inspections completed. Mooring and Pulley Pole 2024 Applications. Revised Application was reviewed and discussed. New Business Mago Point Dock Repair – Commissioner John Hughes discussed with Town of Waterford and they are working on this issue. HMC Member tenures – Commissioner Hughes identified those members whose tenures were expiring. The commission discussed the issue and voted on which members whose tenures should be renewed. A motion was made to renew the expiring tenures, the motion was seconded, discussed and voted on 6-0 to renew all expiring members tenures. Commissioner John Hughes agreed to look into whether the members were entitled to a membership ID card. The commission secretary, Karlin Bergeson submitted her resignation and it was accepted by the commission. Harbor Master Crocker recommended adding a “qualified inspector” - Sound Diving & Salvage to our approved vendor list. This was discussed by the commission members and all members supported the addition. Public Comment No one from the public was in attendance. Adjournment Meeting adjourned at 6:05 pm on a motion by Bob DeRossa, seconded by Fred Wise.
