Waterford Harbor Management Commission
Regular Meeting Minutes
Wednesday, April 3, 2024
Waterford Police Station Training Room
5:00 p.m.
1. Establish a Quorum and Call to Order
Chairman Hughes called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. after
establishing a quorum.
Present were Commissioners Hughes, DeRosa, Buths, Wise, Crocker
and Jamroga. Absent were Commissioners Hamsher, Dutton and
Bunnell.
Also present was Harbor Master David Crocker.
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Approval of the March 6, 2024, Regular Meeting Minutes
Motion made by Commissioner Wise, seconded by Commissioner
Jamroga to approve the meeting minutes of March 6, 2024, as
submitted. All in favor, motion carried.
4. Harbor Master Report
Harbor Master Crocker indicated that he did not have anything new

to report to the Commission. A discussion was held regarding
protocol for removing dead trees from the waterways and a timeline
for putting the Harbor Master boat back in the water.
5. Correspondence
Chairman Hughes had keys to the new office made and distributed
them to the Commission members that requested one. He stated the
move into the new office went smoothly and that mail is being
delivered to the new address.
6. Old Business
a. Update regarding the Mago Point Town Dock Improvements
Chairman Hughes stated that he has been actively trying to get the
process moving forward and has been in contact with the Town and
State entities involved and he has received an independent quote to
repair and replace the dock to establish a base line for the needed
repairs. Harbor Master Crocker stated it is ultimately the Town’s
responsibility to repair the dock and that they have the means in
the form of grants to do so. The Town is required to send the
project out to bid and establish who will perform the
improvements.
b. Update regarding Progress with the 2024 Mooring and Pully Pole
Applications
Chairman Hughes stated that the applications for mooring and pully
poles continue to come into the office and they are being processed
as they are received. He stated many of them require additional
information before they can be approved, and emails have been
going out to the applicants indicating what they need to submit to
complete the application for the season. Harbor Master Crocker is
signing off on the completed applications and stickers will go out

once he has done so. Everything is going well so far, and Chairman
Hughes will keep the Commission updated with the application
progress.
7. New Business
a. Discussion Regarding Revenue Numbers Collected to Date
Chairman Hughes stated the Commission has deposited over five
thousand dollars in permit fees to the Finance Department to date.
b. Three Belles Mooring Inspection Improvements
Chairman Hughes stated that he has been in contact with Three
Belles and they have stated that they are investing in a barge so
that they can perform in water inspections of moorings.

9. Adjournment
There being nothing further to discuss the meeting was adjourned
at 5:30 p.m.
