Establishment of a quorum and call to order:
A quorum was established and a call to order was established at 7:00 pm,
March 9, 2020.
Public comment: no public comment
First Selectman Robert Brule wanted to take a moment to introduce Kim Allen,
Director of Finance. Kim comes to the Town Of Waterford with over ten years of
budgeting, finance, operations and grant experience and we look forward to
working with her.
Standing Motion: was made by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark
to tentatively approve the below budget requests for FY20/21.
Vote: 5-0 Motion: Passed
Conservation of Health Budget:
Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the
Conservation of Health budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of
$139,197.
Vote: 5-0 Motion: Passed

Fire Services Budget:
Motion by Bill Sheehan and seconded by Mark Geer to reduce line item #10123-
51210 Clerical/Technical by $771.00 for a new total of $131,263.
Vote: 5-0 Motion: Passed
Motion by Bill Sheehan and seconded by Mark Geer to reduce line item #10123-
51920 FICA by $59.00 for a new total of $132,622.

Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the Fire
Services budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of $3,101,562.

Board of Education Budget:
Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the Board
of Education budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of $50,842,315.
Vote: 3-2 (No-—Ron Fedor, Abstain - Mark Geer) | Motion: Passed
Motion by Bill Sheehan to take a ten minute break, seconded by Mark Geer at
10:23pm.
Reconvened the Board of Finance meeting at 10:33pm.
Insurance Budget:
Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the
Insurance budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of $4,658,000.

Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the
Retirement Commission budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of
$6,282,978.

10. Debt Services Budget:
Motion by Glen Patterson and seconded by Kevin Petchark to approve the Debt
Services budget request for FY20/21 in the total amount of $7,628,790
Vote: 5-0 Motion: Passed
11. Review Projected Revenue:
Motion by Bill Sheehan and seconded by Glen Patterson to table the Review
Projected Revenue until Wednesday night’s meeting
