WATERFORD FLOOD & EROSION CONTROL BOARD FIELD MEETING MINUTES July 15, 2024 Present: Chris Callahan, Co-Chair George Harran, Co-Chair Stirling Danskin Maureen Fitzgerald, Waterford Environmental Planner Absent: Craig Hart Kate MacKenzie CALL TO ORDER. Co-Chair Callahan called the Flood & Erosion Control Board Field Meeting of July 15, 2024 to order at 7:20 p.m. NEW BUSINESS. Review of Ridgewood Park areas prone to coastal flooding and sea level rise. Maureen provided maps and photos from the Climate Change Risk Vulnerability, Risk Assessment and Adaptation Study showing Ridgewood Area conditions Present, 2030 Flood Elevation, and 100-year Flood Elevation. From the Peninsular Ave Bridge Board members were able to see examples of which homes in the immediate area would have issues by 2030 of sea level rise and coastal flooding in the middle and lower portions of Alewife Cove. ADJOURNMENT. MOTION: Mr. Danskin moved to adjourn the Flood & Erosion Control Board July 15, 2024 Field Meeting at 7:20 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Harran (3-0) Unanimous.
