FLOOD & EROSION CONTROL BOARD REGULAR MEETING MINUTES Feb. 21, 2022 Present: Baird Welch-Collins Chris Callahan George Harran Jenny Kohl Absent: Alexander Kuvalanka CALL TO ORDER. Chairman Welch-Collins called the Regular Meeting of Feb. 21, 2022 to order at 7:00 p.m. APPROVAL OF JANUARY, 2021 MEETING MINUTES OF THE FLOOD AND EROSION CONTROL BOARD. MOTION (1): Mr. Callahan moved to approve the January, 2022 Meeting Minutes of the Flood and Erosion Control Board, as presented. Seconded by Ms. Kohl. (3-0-0) Motion carried. PUBLIC COMMENT. There were no guests present. TREASURER’S REPORT. None. 5. OLD BUSINESS Plan for site walk for May meeting. Mr. Callahan spoke with Murrean about borrowing water measuring tools from other town departments for the board to monitor dunes. Waterford and New London are trying to secure money for drenching from DEEP. NEW BUSINESS The board discusses reaching out to Waterford High School capstone students to do community engagement projects and potentially participate in the site walk. The board reviewed the study on climate change provided by the Conservation Commision, which can be found on the town website. Th Board of Finance wants the board to find training opportunities. 7. PLANS REVIEW ,The board added one note on permeable surfaces for parking. 8.CORRESPONDENCE. Letter dated Feb. 16, 2022 from George Harran regarding reappointment to the board for another term. 9. PAYMENT OF BILLS. There were no bills received. 10. ADJOURNMENT. MOTION (4): Mr. Callahan moved to adjourn the Flood & Erosion Control Board Feb. 21, 2022 Meeting at 7:40 p.m. Seconded by Mr. Harran.
