SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS
June 1, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Commissioner C. Gamble, Commissioner M. Gelinas, Commissioner J. Dimmock
ABSENT: Commissioner R. Brule, Commissioner T. Sheridan
DEPARTMENT: Chief M. Balestracci, LT N. VanOverloop
CANDIDATE: Thomas Olsen
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH A QUORUM:
Commissioner Gamble called the meeting to order at 5:04 p.m. in the General
Meeting Room of the Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Gelinas to
enter into Executive Session to conduct the Police Officer Interview at 5:05 p.m. Chief
Balestracci was included in the Executive Session. Motion passed unanimously.
The Board came out of Executive Session at 5:57 p.m. no votes or actions were taken while in
Executive Session.
MOTION: Motion made by Commissioner Dimmock and Seconded by Commissioner
Gelinas to extend an offer to the candidate for the current vacancy, contingent on the candidate
successfully completing the hiring process and background investigations. Passed unanimously.
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and Seconded by Commissioner
Gelinas to adjourn the meeting at 5:58 p.m. Passed unanimously.
