CALL TO ORDER/APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES
J. Greco was seated for E. Lusher. A quorum was established. The meeting was called to order at 5:05
PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - April 14, 2022 Meeting
MOTION: Motion made by J. Szymanski, seconded by L. Sollima, to approve the minutes of
the April 14, 2022 meeting.
VOTE: 4-0
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - May 6, 2022 Special Meeting
MOTION: Motion made by J. Szymanski, seconded by L. Sollima, to approve the minutes of
the May 6, 2022 Special Meeting.
VOTE: 4-0
COMMISSION PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES:
e Small Business Grants
A. Piersall updated the Commission with the status of the RFQ to obtain the services of a
consultant to administer the Small Grant Program. The funds for the program are derived from
the AARPA federal assistance program funds. The small business grant will be 100% distribution
to selected applicants with no matching contribution from the applicant. Applications will be
reviewed on a first come first serve basis and the consultant will be screening applications. It is
anticipated that the kickoff for the program will be in June of this year with the advertising and
granting of awards in August/September. The granting of the funds from this small business grant
program will follow all AARPA requirements.
e D.Radin reviewed with the Commission the statement that was presented to the RTM at the May
9 budget hearing. Because the RTM was focused on that night on reviewing the proposed Town
budgets, he suggested that the proposed actions contained in the statement be resubmitted for the
June 6 meeting of the RTM.
A. Piersall suggested to the Commission that they can craft a scope of work for a consultant to
provide guidance for the EDC in crafting its vision for economic goals and operating procedures.
There was further discussion as to how the EDC can promote business opportunities in
Waterford.

4. TOWN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND PERMITTING STATUS
A. Piersall and M. Wujtewicz updated the Commission with the status of pending applications currently
under consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
