PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH QUORUM:
Chairman Sheridan called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the General Meeting Room of the
Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.

There was no public input.
RECOGNITION OF OFFICER RICHARD AVDEVICH AND OFFICER LEIGH
BONKOWSKI
Chief Mahoney presented Officers Avdevich and Bonkowski Unit Citation Awards for their work at
the State and Federal level against drugs and drug trafficking organizations.
ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES: Acceptance of the Meeting Minutes of December 9, 2019.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and SECONDED by Commissioner Dimmock to accept
the meeting minutes of December 9, 2019. PASSED. Chairman Sheridan abstained.
CORRESPONDENCE:
a. Letter from Chief Mahoney to first Selectman Rob Brule
b. Retirement Letter from Steven Whitehead
c. Letter from Sandi McCourt — K-9 Contribution
TRAFFIC COMMISSION REVIEW AND DECEMBER TRAFFIC REPORT
Traffic Officer Spearrin discussed a request by Public Works for No Parking signs at four hammerhead
streets in town to allow recycling and plow trucks the ability to turn around on the smaller streets.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Dimmock Seconded by Commissioner Gelinas to approve the No
Parking signs at the four hammerheads in town to allow for a better turn around by town trucks.
PASSED.

MOTION: made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Gelinas to surplus
Car 6 and forward to the Board of Selectman for proper disposal. PASSED
MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and seconded by Commissioner Dimmock to adjourn the
meeting at 5:40 p.m. Passed unanimously.
