ABSENT: Thomas Sheridan, Chairman and William Auwood, Commissioner
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH QUORUM:
Vice Chairman Dimmock called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the General Meeting Room of the
Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.
CHAMPION FOR CHILDREN AWARD PRESENTATION — OFFICER DANIJEL LANE
Michael Buscetto and Jodi Nazarchyk presented Officer Daniel Lane the Champion for Children
Award for all his great work with and for the children of Waterford.
IXECUTIVE SESSION — SERGEANT PROMOTION
MOTION made by Commissioner Brule and SECONDED by Commissioner Gelinas to inter into
Executive Session at 5:08 p.m. to include Chief Mahoney, and when needed Lieutenants Silva,
Balestracci and VanOverloop for the purpose of conducting interviews to promote an Officer to the
rank of Sergeant. PASSED.
The Board came out of Executive Session at 6:45 p.m. There were no motions made or actions taken
while in Executive Session.
CONSIDER AND ACT UPON THE PROMOTION OF A SERGEANT
MOTION made Commissioner Gelinas and SECONDED by Commissioner Brule to promote Officer
Flanagan to the rank of Sergeant effective March 12, 2020 and to continue the existing promotional
pool until April 21, 2020. The pool consists of all the Officers still involved in the process.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Brule and SECONDED by Commissioner Gelinas to adjourn the
meeting at 6:45 p.m. Passed unanimously.
