MINUTES
BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS
MARCH 24, 2020
PRESENT: James Dimmock, Vice Chairman, Mark Gelinas, Secretary, Robert Brule,
Commissioner
ABSENT: Thomas Sheridan, Chairman and William Auwood
DEPARTMENT: Chief B. Mahoney, Lt. N. VanOverloop and Training Sergeant D. Ferland
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH QUORUM:
Vice Chairman Dimmock called the special meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the General Meeting
Room of the Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Gelinas to enter into
Executive Session for Officer interviews at 5:02 p.m. Chief Mahoney was included in the executive
session along with LT. VanOverloop and Training Sergeant Ferland when needed.
Che Board came out of Executive Session at 6:30 p.m. There were no motions made or action taken
while in Executive Session.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and SECONDED by Commissioner Brule to establish a
hiring list. Offer of employment shall be in the order listed below. The list is subject to the candidate
successfully completing the hiring process with the intention of starting an entry-level Police Academy
class as soon as one becomes available. All candidates present have been placed on the Waterford
Police Department hiring list. The order of the list shall be in effect for one year of this meeting.

4. Mark Devine
MOTION: made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Gelinas to adjourn the
meeting at 6:33 p.m. Passed unanimously.
