CALL TO ORDER/APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES
A quorum was established. The meeting was called to order at 5:00 PM.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES - May 12, 2022 Meeting
MOTION: Motion made by J. Szymanski, seconded by E. Lusher, to approve the minutes of
the May 12, 2022 meeting.
VOTE: 3-0
COMMISSION PROJECTS AND INITIATIVES:
Small Business Grants
A. Piersall updated the Commission with the status of the of the consultant to administer the
Small Grant Program. The contract for services is undergoing final legal review for approval. As
soon as the contract is approved then the consultant will meet with the EDC.
A tentative schedule for administering the Small Business Grants will pursue advertising for the
program in the summer with awards being distributed in the fall.
D. Radin updated the Commission with the actions he took at the last RTM meeting relative to
establishing direction and providing a Town wide Economic Development Strategy. He presented
a motion to the Commission to create an Economic Development Strategy and refer it to the
Legislation and Administration Standing Committee of the RTM.
MOTION: Motion made by D. Radin, seconded by E. Palmer, to create an Economic
Development Strategy for referral to the Legislation and Administration
Standing Committee of the RTM
VOTE: 5-0
D. Radin described potential strategic policies that the Commission can consider.
G. Attanasio offered suggestions on various rolls of the EDC.
Members of the Commission discussed various options for inserting into an Economic
Development Strategic Plan.
D. Radin reviewed with the Commission the discussion points raised.
A. Piersall suggested that the EDC look into connecting with the consultant for the Small
Business Grant Program and with FHI, the consultant for the update of the Plan of Conservation
and Development.

It was the consensus of the Commission to hold a Special Meeting on June 14 at 5:00pm to
discuss and decide on the points of strategy within the plan.
4, TOWN DEVELOPMENT PROJECT AND PERMITTING STATUS
A. Piersall and M. Wujtewicz updated the Commission with the status of pending applications currently
under consideration by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
