Radin suggested that someone who had attended the previous meetings provide a synopsis of what was discussed relative to the forwarding the implementation of the Town’s Economic Development Strategy. The Commission discussed the distribution of the press release and survey and the launch of the Small Business Grant Program. They raised concerns regarding not being consulted with and the lack of opportunity and communication regarding their involvement in the Program process. D. Radin reminded the members of the Commission that the topic on the agenda is to discuss the Economic Development Strategy. He noted that there appears to be lack of enthusiasm among the members to prioritize the development of the Strategy. He informed the Commission that they had voted in prior meetings to start to implement the development of an Economic Development Strategy and to consider it a top priority. E. Lusher stated that J. Szymanski had presented to the Commission at the June 9, 2022 meeting a preliminary “roadmap” with initiatives toward creating an Economic Development Strategy. J. Szymanski shared her outline of a proposed economic development strategy with the Commission. She described the key aspects of the Strategy.
