Adjournment FIFTEEN ROPE FERRY ROAD WATERFORD, CT 06385-2886 PHONE; 860-442-0553. www.watertordcorg MINUTES Energy Task Force Meeting April 15, 2024 5:00 PM - Waterford Town Hall Louise Appleby Room Members present: Kate MacKenzie (RTM), Dave Peabody (BOF), Greg Attanasio (BOS), Ursula Moreshead (elector), Ivan Kuvalanka (elector), Mary Childs (RTM) Also present: Jonathan Mullen (Director of Planning) 1., 2. Call to Order/Roll Call: Meeting was called to order and a quorum was established at 5:04. 3. Public Comments: No public comments 4. Election of Chair: Mary Childs was nominated for Chair by Kate MacKenzie and was seconded by Greg Attanasio. Motion passed unanimously. 5. Approval of 10/17/23 meeting minutes: Motion made by Dave Peabody and seconded by Ursula Moreshead to approve the minutes. Motion passed unanimously. 6. Review, discussion, and possible actions of stated charge: 1. Review audits of consumption, 2. Identify any data needs based on those audits, 3. Address the energy policy of the town. Jonathan Mullen shared an update on the benchmarking process so far. He will discuss with Dr. Amy Thomson to resume this process and will share details with this group. 7, New Business: Kate MacKenzie was nominated as Secretary by Mary Childs and this was seconded by Dave Peabody. Motion passed unanimously. Data will be shared with this Task Force. Members present will follow up with questions around potential for solar panels at Waterford High School. Group discussed the statement in the charge “address the energy policy of the town” and decided to research municipalities who have policies. Additionally will consider the Sustainable CT guidelines to see what areas would be feasible for our town. 8. Adjournment: Motion made by Dave Peabody and seconded by Greg Attanasio to adjourn the meeting. Meeting adjourned at 5:57 pm.
