Members Present: First Selectman Robert Brule and Selectwoman Elizabeth
Sabilia, Selectwoman Jody Nazarchyk,
PROCEDURE: The Board of Selectmen will hear budget requests in
accordance with the below agenda for the Budget meeting, which begins at
4:00pm:
The Board of Selectmen to consider and act on the following budgets and
at the appropriate time forward to the Board of Finance for its’
consideration of and action on the FY 21/22 Budgets:
A. Call to Order First Selectman Rob Brule called the meeting to order at
4:01pm.
B. Pledge of Allegiance
C. Public Comment
Susan Gardner, Board Member from Recreation & Parks, stated the
Recreation & Parks budget does not match what the Board Members
voted on at their special meeting in December.

Jon Zane, Quaker Hill Volunteer Fire Fighter, stated he would like to see
the Fire Service budget get passed.
D. Consider and act on the following budget requests:
1.. Public Works
MOTION made by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia to tentatively
approve the Public Works budget request for FY21/22 in the amount of
$4,709,654.00. VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0
2. Fire Services
MOTION made by Sabilia, and seconded by Nazarchyk, to tentatively
approve the Fire Service budget request for FY21/22 in the amount of
$3,411,155.00. VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0
3. Recreation & Parks
MOTION made by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia to tentatively
approve the Recreation & Parks budget request for FY21/22 in the amount
of $1,450,159.00. VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0
4. Community Use of Schools
Discussion:
Community Use of Schools has a $0.00 budget, as the line item will be
transferred to BOE. Due to a $0.00 budget, there is no votes needed.
5, Finance Department
MOTION made by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia to tentatively
approve the Finance Department budget request for FY21/22 in the amount
of $653,894.00. VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0

7. MOTION made by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia to tentatively
approve the Legal budget request for FY21/22 in the amount of $.
VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0
