1. CALL TO ORDER AND APPOINTMENT OF ALTERNATES
R. Muckle called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. J. Wainscott seated for T. Maidelis.
2 APPROVAL of the June 24, 2021 MEETING MINUTES
Motion: Motion made by G. Renegar, second by W. Thomas to approve the June 24, 2021
meeting minutes with corrections to the spelling of Willetts Avenue on page 1 and
a typographic error on page 3, 3rd paragraph.
Vote: 4-0
3. APPLICATION REVIEW
C-21-6: 394 Willetts Avenue Ext., 60 & 61A Myrock Avenue - Install Private Gravity Fed
Sewer Main — Waterford Woods, LLC, Owner & Applicant, Yantic River Consultants, LLC;
Agent.
B. Handfield; PE was available for the application.
Staff reviewed with the Commission the draft permit. J. Wainscott requested that markers be
installed within the easement to identify the limits of the wetland boundary. B. Handfield agreed
to installing markers.
Motion: Motion made by W. Thomas, second by J. Wainscott to approve the draft permit
with the added condition for installing markers at the limits of the wetland
boundary within the sewer easement.
Vote: 4-0
4. NEW APPLICATIONS
C-21-7: 44 Way Hill Road — Pond Excavation & Maintenance — Steven Shiavone, Owner &
Applicant
Staff reviewed the application with the Commission. The application is to increase the depth of
the existing manmade pond. A previous inland wetland permit was issued in 1995 for
modification to the pond and pool construction. No expansion to the diameter of the pond is
proposed.
Motion: Motion made by W. Thomas, second by G. Renegar to have staff prepare a draft
permit for approval and review at the next meeting.
Vote: 4-0

PAYMENT OF BILLS
The Commission reviewed the bills.
Motion: Motion made by W. Thomas, second by J. Wainscott to pay the CACIWC 2020-
2021 membership renewal, $75.00 and the bill from The Day, 84.00.
Vote: 4-0

Motion: Motion made by W. Thomas, second by G. Renegar to adjourn at 6:41 pm.
