BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS 2020 AUG 18 AN 9:34
AUGUST 17, 2020
PRESENT: James Dimmock, Chairman; Mark Gelinas, Vice Chairman, and Robert Brule,
Commissioner
ABSENT: Thomas Sheridan, Secretary and William Auwood, Commissioner
DEPARTMENT: Chief B. Mahoney and Sergeant Ferland
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE:
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH QUORUM:
Chairman Dimmock called the special meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. in the General Meeting Room of
the Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and seconded by Commissioner Brule to enter into
Executive Session for the purpose of conducting Officer Interviews at 4:02 p.m. Chief Mahoney was
included in the executive session along with Sergeant Ferland when needed.
The Board came out of Executive Session at 5:25 p.m. There were no motions made or action taken
while in Executive Session.
MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and SECONDED by Commissioner Brule to establish a
hiring list, with the top two candidates being selected for this round of hiring. The list is subject to
candidates successfully completing the hiring process with the intention of starting an entry-level
Police Academy class as soon as slots are available. The order of the list shall be in effect for one year
of this meeting. The top two candidates are Christian Charron and Anthony Brito. The others are held
on a list promulgated by the Waterford Police Department.

MOTION: made by Commissioner Gelinas and seconded by Commissioner Brule to adjourn the
meeting at 5:30 p.m. Passed unanimously.
