PROCEDURE: The Board of Selectmen will hear budget request) acdordarige
with the below agenda for the Budget meeting, which begins at 4: OGipm: =£
The Board of Selectmen to consider and act on the following budgets and at the
appropriate time forward to the Board of Finance for its’ consideration of and
action on the FY 24 Budgets by budget total:
A. Call to Order- First Selectman Brule called the meeting to order at 4:00 pm.
B. Pledge of Allegiance
C. Public Comment-
D. Consider and act on the following budget requests:
First Selectman requested a standing motion to approve all budgets by the
total amount requested. Motion by Beth Sabilia and Seconded by Jody
Nazarchyk. Motion passed (3-0-0).
1. Social Service Grants
MOTION made to approve Social Service Grant request for FY24 in the
amount of $92,316. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
2. Public Health/Nursing-VNA
MOTION made to approve Public Health/Nursing budget request for FY24
in the amount of $25,911. Vote. 2-1-0 (Sabilia against)

3. Conservation of Health-Ledge Light
MOTION made to approve Conservation of Health budget request for FY24
in the amount of $148,407. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
4. Registrar of Voters
MOTION made to approve Registrar of Voters budget request for FY24 in
the amount of $79,488. Unanimous. 3 —0—0.
5. Tax Collector
MOTION made to approve Tax Collector budget request for FY24 in the
amount of $217,865. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
6. Information Technology
MOTION made to approve the Information Technology budget request for
FY24 in the amount of $1,165,181. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
7, Emergency Management
MOTION made to approve the Emergency Management budget request for
FY24 in the amount of $1,094,563. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
8. Police
MOTION made to approve the Police budget request for FY24 in the
amount of $6,830,602. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
9. Library
MOTION made by Sabilia and seconded by Nazarchyk to increase line
51810 (overtime) by $10,000 for Sunday hours. Motion amended to
increase line by $8,000. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
MOTION made to approve the Library request for FY24 in the amount of
$1,006,837. Unanimous. 3-0-0.

10. Senior Services
MOTION made to approve the Senior Services budget request for FY24 in
the amount of $484,631. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
11. Youth & Family Services
MOTION made to approve the Youth & Family Services budget request for
FY24 in the amount of $239,827. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
12, Town Clerk
MOTION made to approve the Town Clerk budget request for FY24 in the
amount of $252,225. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
13.RTM
MOTION made to approve the RTM budget request for FY24 in the
amount of $18,903. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
14. Board of Finance
MOTION made to approve the Board of Finance budget request for FY24
in the amount of $70,159. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
15. Contingency
MOTION made to approve the Contingency budget request for FY24 in the
amount of $265,000. Unanimous. 3-0-0.
E. Correspondence
None
F. Recess- motion was made by Sabilia and seconded by Nazarchyk to Recess
at 5:50 pm. VOTING IN FAVOR; unanimous, VOTE:3-0
