BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS
February 12, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.

ABSENT: Commissioner C. Gamble, Commissioner T. Sheridan
DEPARTMENT: LT N. VanOverloop, LT D. Ferland, LT P. Flanagan, Sgt. Matthew Fedor,
Traffic Officer M. Devine, Training Officer M. Sylvestre, Officer Z. Caler
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH A QUORUM:
Commissioner Gamble called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the General Meeting Room of
the Waterford Police Department. A Quorum was established.

ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES:
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Brule to accept
the minutes from the January 8, 2024 Regular Meeting. Motion passed.
LT Ferland requested that the Officer of the Year Award be presented at this time.
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Brule to present
the Officer of the Year award at this point during the meeting.
Officer of the Year award was presented to Officer Zachary Caler.

CORRESPONDENCE:
Correspondence was reviewed.
TRAFFIC COMMISSION REVIEW:
Traffic report was received.
CHIEF’S REPORT:
a. K9 Reports for January
January report was received.
b. Youth Reports for January
January report was received.
c. Investigative Services for January
January report was received.

January report was received.

January report was received.
f. Community Service Officer Report for January
January report was received.

OLD BUSINESS:
a. Recording Commission Meetings — No updates at this time.

NEW BUSINESS:
a. Approval for out of series transfers March 1 — July 1
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and Seconded by Commissioner Brule to grant
Chief Balestracci authorization to complete out of series transfers through June 30, 2024 with the
understanding that he advises the Commission of the transfers. Motion passed unanimously.
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and Seconded by Commissioner Brule to adjourn
the meeting at 5:28 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
