SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
BOARD OF POLICE COMMISSIONERS
January 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
PRESENT: Commissioner R. Brule, Commissioner M. Gelinas, Commissioner J.
Dimmock, Commissioner C. Gamble, Commissioner T. Sheridan, Human
Resources Director Christine Walters
DEPARTMENT: Chief M. Balestracci
CALL TO ORDER AND ESTABLISH A QUORUM:
Commissioner Gelinas called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Auditorium. A
Quorum was established.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Gamble to enter
into Executive Session, including Chief Balestracci and HR Director Christine Walters at 5:02
p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
The Board came out of Executive Session at 5:33 p.m. No votes or actions were taken while in
Executive Session.
MOTION: Made by Commissioner Sheridan and seconded by Commissioner Dimmock to
begin the Chief of Police selection process in accordance with established policy to include Law
Enforcement Council of Connecticut participation for external oral board interviews. Motion
passed unanimously.

MOTION: Made by Commissioner Dimmock and seconded by Commissioner Sheridan to
_ adjourn the meeting at 5:35 p.m. Motion passed unanimously.
