BOARD OF SELECTMEN REGULAR MEETING
January 9, 2024

(Procedural Action: Check register to be signed by the Board of Selectmen in
accordance with CGS 7-83)
1. Call to Order & Roll Call: 5 pm
2. Pledge of Allegiance
3. Public Comment: NONE
4. Additional Appropriation — Reading Textbooks — To consider and act on a
request for a FY24 additional appropriation, toward replacing reading
textbooks for grades K-5 (Wit and Wisdom), from the Superintendent of
Schools, Thomas Giard III, in the amount of $252,044 and forward on to the
Board of Finance if approved.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED
5. Additional Appropriation ~— Oswegatchie Fire Station Building
Committee — To consider and act on a request from the Oswegatchie Fire
Station Building Committee for an additional appropriation of One-Hundred
Twenty-Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty-One and No/000 Dollars
($126,821.00) for architectural and specialty subcontractor services for the
design of the proposed new town-owned fire station, and refer the proposed
appropriation to the Board of Finance.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED
6. 8-24 Review - To consider and act on a request from the Board of Selectmen
to the Planning and Zoning Commission for an 8-24 review of the Town’s
proposed acquisition of 439 and 441 Boston Post Road from the Oswegatchie
Fire Company No. 4, Inc.
