BOARD OF SELECTMEN
October 23, 2020

Members Present: First Selectman Robert Brule; Selectwoman Jody Nazarchyk and Selectwoman
Elizabeth Sabilia (3:07pm).
Staff: Kim Allen and Joyce Sauchuk
1. Call to order and Roll Call - First Selectman Brule called the meeting to order at 3:07 pm
2. FLSA Firefighter Claim: To discuss and vote on a proposal from the Labor Attorney, Fire Services
Director, Human Resources Director, and Town Attorney to resolve a pending legal claim
regarding a State Labor Department FLSA claim against the town.
Motion was made by Ms. Nazarchyk and seconded by Mr. Brule to approve the request as
stated and forward onto the Board of Finance. VOTE: 3-0
Attorney Eileen Duggan gave a report on the claim and answered questions from the Board of
Selectmen. The claim will be settled and released October 30, 2020.
3. Tax Collector Refunds: Motion was made by Mr. Brule and seconded by Ms. Sabilia to accept
the Tax Collector’s refund of $11,773.62. VOTE: 3-0
4. Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Board, a motion was made
by Ms. Nazarchyk and seconded by Ms. Sabilia, the Meeting of the Board of Selectmen was
adjourned at 3:16pm. VOTE: 3-0
