PROCEDURE: The Board of Selectmen will hear budget requests in accordance
with the below agenda for the Budget meeting, which begins at 4:00pm:
The Board of Selectmen to consider and act on the following budgets and at the
appropriate time forward to the Board of Finance for its consideration of and action
on the FY25 Budgets:

Consider and act on the following budget requests:
Standing Motion: was made by Rich Muckle and seconded by Greg Attanasio to
tentatively approve the budget requests for FY25.
1. Retirement - To consider and act on the Retirement tentative FY25
budget request in the amount of $7,760,257.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $7,760,257. VOTE 3-0
2. Insurance - To consider and act on the Insurance tentative FY25
budget request in the amount of $4,962,182.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $4,962,182. VOTE 3-0
3. Debt Service —To consider and act on the Debt Service tentative FY25
budget request in the amount of $8,109,746.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $8,109,746. VOTE 3-0

4. Capital Improvements - To consider and act on the Capital
Improvements tentative FY25 budget request in the amount of
$1,282,527.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to add an amendment after the
dollar amount to read “to consider and act on the Capital Improvements Plan
submitted by the First Selectman for the adaptation of the plan as part of its
consideration of the capital portion of the budget.” VOTE 3-0
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend the requested budget
amount from $1,282,527 to $1,312,527. VOTE 3-0
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $1,312,527. VOTE 3-0
5. Transfer to Capital Non-Recurring - To consider and act on the
Transfer to Capital Non-Recurring tentative FY25 budget request in
the amount of $998,399.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend the requested budget
amount from $998,399 to $938,399. VOTE 3-0
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $938,399. VOTE 3-0
6. General Government Operations — To consider and act on the Total
General Government Operations tentative FY25 budget request in the
amount of $39,304,137.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend the requested budget
amount from $39,304,137 to $39,267,105. VOTE 3-0
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to tentatively approve a total
budget request in the amount of $39,267,105. VOTE 2-1

7. Capital and Debt Service — To consider and act on the Total Capital
and Debt Service tentative FY25 budget request in the amount of
$10,390,672.

8. General Fund — To consider and act on the Total General Fund
tentative FY25 budget request in the amount of $49,694,809.
MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend the requested budget
amount from $49,694,809 to $49,627,777. VOTE 3-0
