Call to Order & Roll Call: 5:00 PM In Attendance: First Selectman, Robert Brule, Selectmen, Rich Muckle and Greg Attanasio Pledge of Allegiance: Public Comment: Helen Kwasniewski RE: BOE # 6 & 8 on this Agenda — handout given wr 4. Waterford Utility Commission: To consider and act on a request from the Director of Utilities, Jill Stevens, for an appropriation of $100,000 to Line # 20531-57894 (Cross Country Sewer Main Access), with funds available July 1, 2026 for this FY27 capital project and if approved, forward to the Board of Finance as required. MOTION by Muckie, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED 5. Waterford Utility Commission: To consider and act on a request from the Director of Utilities, Jill Stevens, for an appropriation of $45,671 to Line # 20531-57026 (Water Tank Management), with funds available July 1, 2026 for this FY27 capital project and if approved, forward to the Board of Finance as required. MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED 6. Board of Education: To consider and act upon awarding Chromebooks and Desktop Computers, from the BOE Director of Information Technology, Mark Geer, through Cooperative Purchasing. Funds available July-1, 2026 for this FY27 capital project from Line #20560-55044 Replacement Cycle (Desktops, Laptops, Chromebooks, iPads). e Chromebooks/Chromebook Plus notebooks — Vivacity Technology Tech PBC (Equalis Group Contract R10-1173F) in the amount of $229,188 * Desktop Computers — Dell Technologies (NASPO/State Contract 23PSX0163) in the amount of $193,182.95 MOTION by Attanasio, to table. NO Second, MOTION FAILED MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 2-1 PASSED Voting For: Muckle, Brule Voting Against: Attanasio 7. Board of Education: To consider and act on a recommendation from Shea Davy, Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the BOE Director of Information Technology, Mark Geer, to award Chromebooks and Desktop Computers, to Apple Inc. in the amount of $46,389. Funds available July 1, 2026 for this FY27 capital project from Line #20560-55044 Replacement Cycle (Desktops, Laptops, Chromebooks, iPads). MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio to amend and remove “and Desktop Computers,” VOTE 3-0 MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 2-1 PASSED Voting For: Brule, Muckle Voting Against: Attanasio 8. Board of Education: To consider and act on a recommendation from Shea Davy, Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the BOE Director of Information Technology, Mark Geer, to award Meraki Access Points & Switch Upgrade with installation labor, to Total Communications, Inc. in the amount of $222,353. BOE is only responsible for $111,176.50 according to the E-Rate awarded grant breakdown. Funds available from Line #20560-55046 (Access Points and Switches) on July 1, 2026 for this FY27 Capital Project. MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED 9. Adjournment: 5:35 PM MOTION by Muckle, seconded by Attanasio, VOTING IN FAVOR: 3-0 PASSED June 22, 2026 BOS Special Meeting Helen Kwasniewski In regard to items #6 to items #8 Board of Education requesting Chromebooks and Desktop Computers. I urge the BOS NOT to approve this request. The BOE get a $3 million increase in their budget due to the fact that no one knows how to say NO. The BOE needs to start using their department budgeted money and stockpiling their slush fund. Once again I urge you to vote NO! Thank you
