The Dispatch and Police data rooms both have Eaton full room UPS units.
Eaton has recently switched maintenance
support companies for the Connecticut area and they have informed us of a highly recommended service schedule for
battery replacment within the units as well as replacing the entire units prior to an end of life/end of service date.
For
FY27 we are required to replace the batteries in the Dispatch Unit at a cost of $28,822.00.
FY28 we need to replace the
batteries in the Police Unit at a cost of $25,978.00.
In 2033 both units will be end of life/end of support, so in FY32
expect a request for $120,000 to replace both units completely with the equivalent model for at that time.

DESCRIPTION AND JUSTIFICATION (describe the type, purpose & anticipated accomplishments of the project)
This is a request is for three servers to replace the three current aging hosts that provide the on premise virtual server
infrastructure for the town. It is vital that all the hosts have identical hardware and versioning to ensuring the virtual
servers can migrate from one host to another without compatibility issues, and thus they need to be replaced all at the
same time.
These hosts will provide the backbone of our virtual infrastructure for another 6 years. This is the 2nd
request for this project as it was half funded in FY26.
Also part of this is to replace 3 of our physical servers that act as
our physical active directory domain controllers in different buildings.

automatically retrieves the data from the other channel. A transient or soft error in
one channel does not affect the mirrored data, and operation continues unless there
is a simultaneous error in exactly the same location on a DIMM and its mirrored

For 1-CPU systems:
All the PCle slots on riser 1A and 1C are supported for the PCle Cards.
Riser 2 and 3 are not supported in 1-CPU system.
Only a single plug-in PCle VIC card may be installed on a 1-CPU system, and it must be
installed in slots 1 or 2 of riser 1A or slot 1 of riser 1C,
You can order an mLOM VIC card to be installed in the mLOM/OCP 3.0 slot internal to the
chassis and thus have two VIC cards in operation at the same time. If you order a
double-width GPU, it must be installed in slot 2; then a PCle VIC can be installed in slot 1.
See the Table 17 on page 25 for the selection of plug-in and mLOM/OCP 3.0 VIC cards.

You can order an mLOM VIC card to be installed in the mLOM slot internal to the chassis. You

If Riser 1A and 2A are selected, two PCle VIC can be installed in slot 2 of Riser 1A and
slot 5 of Riser 2A. If GPUs are installed in slot 2 of riser 1A or slot 5 of riser 2A, the
NCSI capability automatically switches over to slot 1 of riser 1A or slot 4 of Riser 2A.
Therefore, Cisco PCle VICs can be installed in slot 1 of Riser 1A and slot 4 of Riser 2A
if GPUs are installed in slots 2 of Riser 1A and slot 5 of Riser 2A.
