This project stems from two previous planning efforts completed between 2005 and 2014, The Waterford Civic Triangle Vision Master Plan and the Waterford Town Center Vision and Strategic Plan both inlcuded recommendations for improvements to the Civic Triangle area. Both plans prioritized upgrading trails and services on Town property. Accessible amenities at the duck pond are a key element in integrating services and activities in our Town Center. The pond provides a focal point around which fesitvals, exhibils, farmers markets, and other activities can occur. Landscaping, lighting, This request is to implement critical pedestrian and recreational infrastucture at a focal point of Waterford's Town Center. The duck ond is a destination in its own right, and is also the link between the various amenities and activities in the area. “Ce | : a ilable) Once a cost estimate is available, staff will r¢ review ’ grant opportunities for this project.
