From: Diana Deedy To: Jonathan Mullen Subject: Robert"s Court Development Date: Sunday, November 10, 2024 9:25:09 AM Dear. Mr. Mullen: I am writing to you to express my concern about the pending development to be located at the end of Robert's Court in Quaker Hill. While new housing is welcome in Waterford, it should never compromise the safety of the area. I am concerned about this development's impact on the safety of the area, particularly Robert's Court and Senkow Drive. There are multiple young families in this area with children who walk and play in the neighborhood. Included in this population are several special needs youth. Both streets do not have sidewalks nor is there a biking path. Traffic in the area, especially on Senkow Dr., is currently very busy as drivers use this street to cross from Old Norwich Road to Route 32 and visa-versa. Robert's Court is a small cul-de-sac and is not designed to accommodate traffic leading to over 20 homes. While I appreciate the need for access to this development from main roads, Robert's Court is a poor choice. Using this road as an access point to the development is an accident waiting to happen. I am urging you to reject this development until a better design is presented that does not use Robert's Court/Senkow Dr. area as an access point. Please feel free to contact me at (860) 227- 1125 should you need more perspective from a resident in the area. Thank you Diane Deedy 11 Senkow Dr. Quaker Hill, CT 06375 Public Hearing Roberts Court 8-30(g) PL-24-14 Exhibit 29
