NOTICE OF VIOLATION
Ms. Sirpenski,
This notice is to inform you that the condominium association has conducted activity within
designated inland wetlands and a watercourse on property located at 54 Rope Ferry Road, the
Rope Ferry Condominiums, in violation of Section 6 of the Waterford Inland Wetlands and
Watercourses Regulations. Activity observed includes; removal of vegetation, channel
excavation and grading of soil within and adjacent to the stream channel located along the
eastern property boundary, extending from the culvert outlet south of Route 156 for
approximately 300 linear feet. The excavated channel is exposed to erosion, soils are not
stabilized, and downstream wetlands and watercourses may be subject to sediment deposition
and pollution.
In accordance with Section 6 the Town of Waterford Inland Wetlands and Watercourses
Regulations, removal or deposition of material in a watercourse and clearing of vegetation from
a wetland or watercourse is a regulated activity, requiring authorization from the inland wetland
agency. An authorization to conduct this activity was not issued by the Waterford Conservation
Commission.
This Notice is issued in accordance with Section 14 of the Waterford Inland Wetlands and
Watercourses regulations. Failure to comply with the terms and required actions of this notice
will result in further enforcement actions by the Town of Waterford.
REQUIRED ACTIONS:
1. You are requested to please contact this office within 72 hrs of your receipt of this notice to
schedule a time to review the work conducted and evaluate the need for immediate and long-
term soil and channel stabilization measures. This Notice is also being forwarded to you at
your email address in addition to the required certified mailing.
2. This violation will be reviewed with the Waterford Conservation Commission at their
scheduled February 11,2021 meeting. The meeting will be virtual with remote access

available. Your attendance or that of a designated representative is requested at this meeting
to answer any questions and provide information requested by the Commission.
3. The Waterford Conservation Commission may require additional corrective actions to
remediate this violation.
