Fleet Management Plan
Fire Department
The following vehicle has been designated for replacement in the FY23 Fleet Management Plan:
Utility Vehicle Company 3 (W-36)
This vehicle is a 2007 Ford F-350 that went into service in August of 2006. This unit is located at
Company 3. The replacement of this vehicle is showing normal wear and tear with an increase
of rust. Currently this unit has 48112 miles. This unit will be replaced with a standard gasoline
powered pick-up truck with a plow. This unit was extended out two FY. | am recommending the
replacement of this unit in the FY 2023. Deliveries of pick-up trucks is delayed due to chip
shortages and most likely would not see this unit until mid-2023.

The following vehicle has been designated for replacement in the FY24 Fleet Management Plan:
Fire Inspector Vehicle Ford F — 150 (Car-55)
This vehicle is a 2013 F-150 Ford truck with utility cap/cover for equipment. This unit went into
service in November 2012. This unit is located at our Public Safety Complex in the Fire
Marshal’s Office. The vehicle is showing normal wear and tear with an increase in normal
rusting. This will increase as we go farther out in our replacement plan. Currently this unit has
97,650 for mileage. This unit should be replaced with a same like pick-up truck. Ford F-150 4x4
with utility cap to protect equipment carried to better fit our department needs and future
buildings in our community. This unit is 10 years old and | did not see it on the Fleet
Management Plan. Life expectancy on this type of unit is 12 years. | am recommending the
replacement of this unit in the FY 2024. Budgeting for this type of vehicle will be in the $45,000
range. This will be updated as we get closer to that FY.

Ariel/Ladder Truck W-55
This vehicle is 
a 2004 Sutphen 75’ Arial truck that went into service in December 2004. This unit
is located at Company 5. The replacement of this vehicle is showing normal wear and tear with
an increase in maintenance cost and more than normal rusting of major components. This will
increase as we go farther out in our replacement plan. Currently this unit has 34234 miles 4090
hours. This unit should be replaced with a same like apparatus. Only go to a 100’ Arial platform
to better fit our department and future buildings in our community. This unit is 17 years old
and | did not see it on the management plan. Life expectancy on this type of unit is 20 years. |
am recommending the replacement of this unit in the FY 2025. Deliveries of this type of vehicle
take a year to build so proper planning should be looked at. Budgeting for this type of vehicle
will be in the $1,000,000 to $1,100,000 range.

Q-85 2016 Ford Expedition
This vehicle is a 2016 Ford Expedition. This unit went into service in February 2016. This unit is
located at our Public Safety Complex as the Directors vehicle. The vehicle is showing normal
wear and tear with an increase in mileage and front end wear. This will increase as we go
farther out in our replacement plan. Currently this unit has 91,250 for mileage. This unit should
be replaced with a same like Ford Expedition to protect command equipment carried to better
fit our department needs and Incident Command needs. This unit is 7 years old and | did not
see it on the Fleet Management Plan. Life expectancy on this type of unit is 10-12 years. This
unit will have considerable mileage on it at that time. 
| am recommending the replacement of
this unit in the FY 2025. Budgeting for this type of vehicle will be in the $48,000 range. This will
be updated as we get closer to that FY.
