MINUTES BOARD OF SELECTMEN REGULAR MEETING April 5, 2022 5:00 P.M. Calli to Order & Roll Call- First Selectman Brule called the meeting 148 order at 5:00pm. 2. Pledge of Allegiance 3. Public Comment: Susan Driscoll-205 Rope Ferry Road 1. Reviewing the Charge of the Civic Triangle Ad-Hoc Committee 2. Fire Services Review Special Committee appointment 4, Finance Department BidA WARD-#22-115 CCTV Upgrades-To consider and act on a recommendation from Rawle Dummett, Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Utility Commission to approve .a Bid Award to Bhar Sales Inc in the amount of $119,370 Funds would be available from line item #33122- $5870 CCTV Camera and Lateral Launching. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 5. Finance Department Bid AWARD-#22-119 SupplyofChannelGrinders- To consider and act on a recommendation from Rawle Dummett, Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Utility Commission to approve a Bid award to JWC Environmental Inc in the amount of $121,487 Funds would be available from line item #33 120-5582 1 Wastewater Solid Grinder $36,487 and Line item #33121- 55821 In-line Wastewater Solid Grinder $85,000. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 6. 10. Youth & Family Services: To consider and act on the following request for an Out of Series Transfer from the Youth & Family Services Director, Dani Gorman, in the amount of $5,000. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 Youth & Family Services: To consider and act on the following request for an Out of Series Transfer from the Youth & Family Services Director, Dani Gorman, in the amount of $1,728. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 Building: To consider and act on the following request for an In Series Transfer from the Planning Director, Abby Piersall, inthe amount of $1,200. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 Police Department: To consider and act on the following request for an In Series Transfer from the Chief of Police, Marc Balestracci, in the amount of $74,000. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 Police Department: To consider and act on the following request for an In Series Transfer from the Chief of Police, Marc Balestracci, in the amount of $2,500. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 11. First Selectman's Office: To consider and act on a recommendation from the First Selectman, Rob Brule, to establish a Civic Triangle Ad- Hoc Improvement Committee, and to appoint members to said committee. MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 12. Appointments and Resignations: 12a. To consider and act on the appointment of Miriam Wagner, Traci Santos, Melissa Chiappone, and Jody Nazarchyk to the Civic Triangle Ad-Hoc Improvement Committee for the duration of the project. MOTION by Sabilia, and seconded by Brule, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 12b. To consider and act on the appointment of John Jamroga to the Waterford Shellfish Commission for the term of 1/06/22 to 1/05/2026 MOTION by Nazarchyk, and seconded by Sabilia, VOTING IN FAVOR: unanimous VOTE:3-0 13.
