Dear Members of Waterford RTM WATERFORD, CT
As an abutting property owner i urge you to reconsider you bosition lok supporting
the proposal for the construction of a 1.5 million sq ft data centercon Dominion _.
Property. The monetary advantages are outweighed by the human afid'animal
habitat disadvantages.
We know from numerous reports from Arizona, Virginia, Illinois and other areas
that data center noise pollution is harmful and nearly impossible to live with. It
will affect the health and well being of 3 neighborhoods;, Millstone Point,
Millstone West, Marlin and Albacore Roads as well as the children and parents
frequenting the adjacent ballfields .
Additionally, the land for this construction has wetlands, streams and habitat for
numerous state and federal species. Downstream is Cranberry pond and marsh
where Osprey, and numerous shorebirds, as well as many migratory ducks feed
and nest.
NE Edge, the developer, does not have a proven track record for developing data
centers. it is involved in litigation for past business practices. To jeopardize our
community with this type of inexperienced company may cause more problems
and expense that our town should not have to bear.
Many residents are unaware of this proposal and its consequences. It is very
important for our town officials to hold a public hearing to explain it and answer
concerns about it.
