PUBLIC HEARING COMMENT JOYCE VLAUN 12 WALLACE STREET WATERFORD | am in full support to SAVE THE NEVINS COTTAGE. The location of the NEVINS COTTAGE property to our Historical Town Green and Buildings will enhance the existing site. NEVINS COTTAGE can offer Educational opportunities as well as income producing venues already provided by the Historical Society. The site presently presents as a living Museum offering experiences enjoyed by all who visit and appreciate what is before them. The preservation of our Towns History preserves our past while protecting our History. For example, Waterford has a rich History of Quarries. How are we preserving the important role these Quarries contributed to the many Granite Projects in our Nation? Stories have been passed down through Generations thus far but what about Generations? We need to tell these stories! History needs to be preserved before it is LOST! Unless we Preserve Our History and the Historical Buildings that ARE our History All will be lost for future generations. We as a Town need to examine our obligation to Preserve THE NEVINS COTTAGE and the NEVINS HISTORY. A ORIGINAL Hometown Treasure! Thank You.
